Designing The Best Handicap Building Renovation

Designing The Best Handicap Building Renovation #1

Accessible Solutions uses the industry's latest state-of-the-art 3D/CAD software to design its handicap home & office renovations. During the past decade, our company has grown accustomed to using Punch! Pro, which has limited 3D capabilities, while our latest software is named TurboCAD by IMSI Design. It allows structures to be built upwards from floor plans, and allows quick rendering of details using texture palates, which are 2-dimensional images that are wrapped around 3-dimensional objects. The software allows our customers to preview how a renovation of their property would look, as if it were already installed, and we had taken a picture of the project in its completed state.

The process of designing or renovating a handicap accessible building is to first build a model of the existing building, if there is one, and add on the new structures. Our software even allows us to build models of bathroom fixtures, and kitchen appliances, and we've even worked around trees that our customers have cherished for years and don't want to cut down. The software also allows landscaping planning, if requested, though most customers are focused on seeing the actual structures that we are proposing to be built. 3D software allows us to build our handicap building proposals in the virtual world and show the customer what it would look like without hammering in a single nail.

Designing The Best Handicap Building Renovation #2The nicest thing about the virtual 3D world that we can create with this software, is that if the customer doesn't like the initial design, we can change it, usually within a few business days. In fact, we can change the design as many times as it takes until we satisfy the customer's demands — this is what makes our design services the best in the industry, because your handicap building renovation is going to be reflective of the design plan that is set into action.

While developing the building plans in 3D is more expensive per hour than 2-dimensional blueprints, it does save time, because usually with 2D layouts, we'd have to create a view for each angle which is costly on time. The overall cost of designing in 3D is about the same as regular blueprints, but you get the added benefit of being able to preview what we will be doing in a virtual world, which brings the thought of the architecture behind the project to the forefront of the customer's mind.
